Malaysia:
Malaysia is really like two countries in one, cleaved in half by the South China Sea. The peninsula is a multicultural buffet of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavours while Borneo hosts a wild jungle smorgasbord of orang-utans, granite peaks and remote tribes. Within and throughout these two very different regions are an impressive variety of microcosms ranging from the space-age high-rises of Kuala Lumpur to the smiling longhouse villages of Sarawak and the calm, powdery beaches of the Perhentian Islands. And did we mention the food? Malaysia (particularly along the peninsular west coast) has one of the best assortments of delicious cuisines in the world.
Start with Chinese–Malay 'Nonya' fare, move on to Indian banana leaf curries, Chinese buffets, spicy Malay food stalls and even some impressive Western food. Yet despite all the pockets of ethnicities, religions, landscapes and the sometimes-great distances between them, the beauty of Malaysia lies in the fusion of it all, into a country that is one of the safest, most stable and easiest to manage in Southeast Asia.

The city of Gandhinagar

The city of Gandhinagar is very popular among tourists, due to the many important locations present in the place.

Gandhinagar, named after Mahatma Gandhi . In 1960 when the old Bombay State was partitioned into Maharashtra and Gujarat, the

city of Bombay went to Maharashtra. It was then decided to construct a new capital for Gujarat. Thus came into being

Gandhinagar, the second planned city in India after Chandigarh.   In the capital, you can find politicians’

houses, wide boulevards and a sense of order that might prove shocking to travelers who have spent a significant amount of

time on the subcontinent. The Akshardham temple in the city of Gandhinagar is one of the biggest temples in India, and it is

a major pilgrim destination that many people swarm to. This temple in Gandhinagar is very similar to its counterpart, the

other Akshardham temple in New Delhi, and this temple was built by the same organization. There are 30 sectors around the

central government complex. Each sector having its own shopping centre, health centre, schools and community centre.

If you also plan on visiting Ahmedabad, you can easily visit Gandhinagar on a day trip to save on costs. Not being a main

tourist center, the city’s accommodation options are scant and dining venues tend to be more expensive since they are

geared toward the city’s wealthy residents. If you want to bring along a picnic lunch instead of eating out, a peaceful

place to sit and eat in Gandhingar is Sarita Udyan Park, overlooking the Sabarmati River.

Places to see:

Capital Complex: In the heart of the capital, in Sector 10, is the well laid out complex of buildings

housing the legislature and government offices. Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan, a magnificent domed building, stands majestically on

a high podium in the centre of a circular lake and houses the Vidhan Sabha and the legislature offices.

Children's Park: The Children's Park has a mini train and a lake with boating facilities. Children's Park

is a major attraction for children and holiday makers.

Akshardham: The temple is built by pink stones with beautiful carvings. The most famous temple of

"Swaminarayan sect" the richest sect in the world. It is surrounded by lush green gardens and admirable fountains.

How to reach:

Air: The airport nearest to Gandhinagar is that of Ahmedabad.

Rail: The railway station in Ahmedabad has frequent trains to all local destinations like Rajkot, Okha,

Gandhidham, Vadodara, Surat, Jamnagar and Somnath.

Bus : T he excellent road network links Gandhinagar with various tourist places of Gujarat .

Udaipur – The City of Lakes

It is the jewel of Mewar, a kingdom ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for 1,200 years, making it the oldest dynasty in India, perhaps in the world! Claiming descent from Surya, the sun God, they were the only Rajput princes who steadfastly refused to marry with the powerful Mughals. The capital of the Sisodia dynasty was Chittor till the 6th century, when it was moved to Udaipur, named after Maharana Udai Singh. Udaipur continued to be the capital of Mewar until the throne fell into the hands of the British in 1818. It was then declared a princely state and held the same title till 1947, when India gained independence. The city is perfectly placed in the backdrop of lush green picturesque natural beauty in the midst of Aravalli Mountain Ranges. It is a lake city with three interconnected lakes, the Pinchola Lake, Swaroop Sagar Lake and Fateh Sagar Lake. If Jaipur is the pink city, Udaipur is a study in white. The city is known its palaces, museums, temples, lake, and gardens. The City Palace and Museum is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The museum has a stunning collection of objects belonging to different Maharanas of Udaipur. There are several palaces of interest around here, including the majestic Chittaurgarh the mountain fortress of Kumbhalgarh, beautiful jain temples of Ranakpur, Eklingli and Nathdwara and the cool retreat of Mr.Abu make the visit to Go Udaipur a memorable one. Udaipur is undoubtedly a dream destination for a romantic holiday. Every year, thousands of tourists come from all over the globe to visit this romantic city. Udaipur is easily accessible from all the major cities of India including Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur.
